The Campus Scope Project

Have you ever wanted to tell your story but not been able to?

Have you ever felt like you’re being told lessons every now and then by people elder than you, as if you know nothing about life?

We believe that every individual has had his share of experiences and past. And if given chance, this would really help them bring out whatever’s holding inside them.

Journokids went to listen to the stories from the campus, to get a feel of how our fellow CUHPians look at their life and the world around them.

Thus came out the Campus Scope Project.

Inspired by the “Humans of New York” project.

“I consider myself a very sanitary person, but as a social work student, we are always taught not to be grossed out with the conditions under which we may have to work. Sometimes the conditions are so unclean that I literally feel like wimping out of the field work. The other day I visited this migrant camp near Dharamshala bus stop. The concerned migrants had me welcomed in their huts and one of them ordered her daughter something in Bangla I couldn’t wrap my head around with. In a snap of second she got up and lit the stove, I was afraid if she is going to make something for me. The idea of eating or drinking anything there had me anxious. I thought of wrapping my talks and leaving the shed right away but the lady there told me to sit as her daughter is making tea for me. Putting my body and soul together I sat down and in a couple of minutes there she was, with a steel glass full up to the brim with tea that didn’t even look as good. I somehow gathered the courage to take a sip and believe me that one sip has changed tea for me forever. I still think about that tea whenever I am having one because that was the best tea I ever had. And that is how you learn something in the field of social work I guess” -Ankita Thakur Photo by: Himanshu Sharma #portraitphotography #portraiture #dharamshala #centraluniversity #candid #photography #photographer #instapicoftheday #shotoftheday #instapic #likeforlike #followforfollow #collegelife #photooftheday #instashot #collegeassignment #photoproject #photographylover #portrait_mood #collegegirl #photoshoot #picoftheday #socialwork #studentlife
